Our Commitment to Attribution

HeadlineSift is committed to transparent and fair attribution of all news content. We believe that news aggregators have a responsibility to clearly credit original publishers and drive traffic to their content.

How We Attribute

  • Every story on HeadlineSift displays the names of the news sources that covered it.
  • Each story card and detail page includes direct links to the original articles on the publisher's website.
  • We display source trust scores based on our internal evaluation methodology, not as a reflection of journalistic quality.
  • Official government and institutional sources are marked with a 🏛️ indicator for transparency.
  • We do not reproduce full article text. We display headlines and short AI-generated summaries, always with links to the original full content.

Source Selection

We curate sources from publicly available RSS feeds and news APIs across multiple countries and categories. Source inclusion is based on editorial relevance, not payment or partnership. HeadlineSift does not accept payment for source inclusion or preferential ranking.

Correction of Attribution

If you believe a story on HeadlineSift has incorrect or missing source attribution, please contact us at hello@headlinesift.com with details. We will review and correct attribution errors promptly.

Publisher Rights

Publishers who do not wish to have their headlines displayed on HeadlineSift may request removal. Please see our Content Removal Request page for instructions.
